why do you need a day to go out(rather liek a compulsory thing ah) and show/proclaim your love ?

I think valentines day is a very unnecessary day for exploitation expectation and excuses.

You know i'm pretty sure if your boyf/girlf wants to celebrate this day of love with you they'd prolly already have plans and thats where all the surprise and fun comes in right?

Then all the advertisements and commercialised vday things create expectations.

Which if the actual celebration falls short of what you expected then disappointment comes in.

Ok sorry maybe that didnt make sense, i'm thinking all this in my head and typing whatever i can. It's true, you know.. i realised that university is my last shot at making my academic life actually fulfilling. Sure, i had my oblivious days in primary school, carefree fun and exciting secondary school days, slacking and couldnt care for shiet days in JC...... But i've never really excelled and been proud of myself for achieving something great. Even if we dont talk about academics... My CCAs havent been fantastic either, neither are my leadership records, or CIP or whatever. I've always just been................ average.

Standard.

It is sad, to know you've never really shone because all you've ever had is potential.

You flip thru your past report books from primary,secondary,jc and theres always the teachers' remarks for the semester or year... And oftentimes theres this statement which i'm pretty sure some of you have it as well "....has potential to do better."

But i've maintained status quo; never having the courage, never possessing the determination nor resilience, or confidence for that matter, to actually take that first step and achieve something.

Ya, easy to say but actions speak louder than words k i know that.

I'll just start with the simplest task a student should do la..... Hit the books.

Not mug, but at least know whats going on and be INFORMED of things, aware of whats taught and tested. Heh.

Sorry okay i can't jump from loser to mugger in one day can. My leap isn't that powerful.

haha. and if you reading this feel inspired, please start taking chances and steps to improving yourself and your self-worth. Life is too short to waste it away, before you know it you're old and unable to do many things, regretting every single day and wallowing in self-pity, blaming yourself for your incompetency during teenage/adult years.

I'm going to attempt the godlike task of speedreading thru the 18 articles (plus making scribbles and notes about them, because my prof fricking wants to collect our scribbles of the entire assignment PROCESS, since she doesnt understand that some people like me, don't DO process. i go straight to the work man! always have, which is why even in secondary school i finish my summaries uber fast. just, highlight, write summary, finish) Ok after reading and scribbles i will attempt to formulate my research questionS, choose ONE, come up with thesis and start summarizing 3~4 articles and THEN synthesize them.

Voila, finish with assignment 2A.

Oh, i forgot to add.

By 6pm, since my cousin's 21st White party is at 6.30.

And by this weekend i'll have even more more more because of van's 21st birthday party on saturday + another reunion dinner on sunday.

CNY DAY 1, Afternoon visitation at my aunt's place.

Looky my HVV trenchdress inspired by burberry. Luvvvv it :D It looks quite nice in pictures but uh, not really irl. Hahaha. Then again, the whole point is look good in pictures can already!!!

And i realise you either love or hate the flower on my head okay.

Then again only my own monster says it looks funny. Everyone else says i'm pretty pretty! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

My sisters' new mahjong set plus their glow in the dark dice! Cheap leh the dice, 5$ only! :D

Anyway, 2nd day was spent visiting plus being visited plus the usual dinner gatherings.

Got my wallet scare ( i think i mentioned already) and then stayover at sisters' place + play kinect and stuff. Yarrrrps.

Saturday was spent uhm. Doing nothing much and sleeping and then going over to nikki's to rotttt. Mummy lim is so pweeti and she gave us angbao hehe. :D

They played mj, nikki was like the god of mahjong that game and subsequently as well. He freaking won 46$ in that one game. 36 from thongz, 8 from bao and 2 from lenny.

What the shit sia. Haha.

Our 2nd game was pretty late at night then i won hehe 3$ ^^. but poor thongz and bao lost again... to nikki lim. not as much, since we were playing 10 20 instead of 20 40 (phew!)

Ended around 12.45am and home sweet home :)

Met weiling on sunday morning at bedok to take 168 allllll the way to freaking WOODLANDS. Far like wthxz.

took 169 to RP and walked walked walked, finally found the court. Heh.

Exciting match, but sadly the guys lost to merahans. Nvm, fight on babies! :)

Nua-ed around before hving late lunch with wl and 3 of the floorball senior guys @ siam kitchen.

Or i'm always in a rush. Which seems to be the case everyday..... Only preparing for school when i'm gonna be late. Hahaha.

AW and CT yesterday, CT was actually shittier than AW cos of some issues la. Annoying. Just leave me alone and let me sit at my own table can? I like to have my own space when i'm doing art, and not be crowded at one table with people constantly staring or asking to borrow things or just, doing things that irritates me. I get very irritable when i can't concentrate!!

And what made me even more irritated was because i didnt pay attention the previous week, i didnt hear what we had to do for the art activity and so i got it alllll wrong. Bucket of Shitz.

Walked around bugis street with sophie after buying i luv taimei. the sourplumsweetpotato thingything is yummy! :)

Went bugis after that and bumped into weiling when we walked out of charles&keith! Coincidental or what. Haha. Shoeshopsshoeshops. Soph's not fated to buy her cny footwear yesterday. Lol.......

Went home after that timewasting timewasting before going ikea with the family for dinner.

Met michael (ahaha our TA ciping) there ! Duuuude, his twin really looks a little like yijung. uglier, duh. But still have similarities. Hahahhahhahaha. Weiling, you want a not? :P

Dinner was the usual, DC and i have our new song to sing to. Eminem's NOT AFRAID. Yep, that was the song of the day.

Been playing with my sister's one. Nikon like not very user friendly ah? Maybe i might be more used to canon, since the cameras ive been using are canon! Gosh. Dilemma la friend. All along i was so fixed on nikon but since canon have upped their game.......

Did absolutely nothing again. What's new, it's lazy monday. :)

Went to meet the MS book seller in the evening, she freaking keep rushing me and telling me to reach asap when her initial message was "traffic condition uncertain, might be late" basket sia. so the plan was 6.45.... then suddenly she msg say she's in a rush, 6.40. like hello? you don't tell me that 15minutes before our planned timing you know? In the end she said by 6.45... i said i can only reach by 6.50 cos i take from city hall and woahhh as if that 5minutes is super super long she replies with "omg. asap ok, in a rush" ............ what.

so i rushed there and reached at like 6.47 (HA, 2MINUTES) trying to find the most kanchiong looking girl outside pick&bite but wow my judgement is wrong. She turned out to be the most relaxed one sitting down chatting with this smux xseed senior.

Wts, so much for being in a rush. After i left she still continued sitting there chatting you know. And how do i know that it isn't her plan? She kept wanting me to meet her at soe. Rawrr!!!

Waited for my ltb grp people to reach the gsr before we went to raffles city to look for dinner, since the entire stamford building is VACANT!? Wanted to eat at handburger, but tooooo longggggg. So we walked around and everywhrs packed w the dinner crowd. except like.... the healthy korean restaurant place which looks gross. ended up going shokudo instead of the teppenyaki restaurant next to it.

I ordered the hamburg omu set (haha really craved for beef) and rosti. Yay. And dessert was some chocolate banana toast thing which was... so-so only la. Oh and cotton candy. For all the times i've been there to eat, i never knew they had free cotton candy like @ nyny!

But then again it's in a super inconspicuous place, as though they don't want people to know about it. Lol.

Sat there chatting with the grp till like 10 and we were chased out. Hahaha.

So many stories to hear, since we're all pretty vastly different.

Prateek ate his tori curry rice and exclaimed that he was shocked, because the curry tastes exactly like indian curry. and he felt cheated cos he ordered japanese curry only to have it taste like the curry he's used to eating. LOL.

He is damn funny sia, reminds me a little of arihant ahaha.

Plus he's kinda against his own race...... damn amusing to hear him talk.

Well anyway, i better go read the stupid lara croft article for the quiz later during AW. :(
